Adult League: The indoor season has begun. League play is on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. There is a web site available or contact Bill Turner if you are interested. Benemarc will continue to insure the adult league. This insurance provider will not insure the indoor youth recreation league due to conflict with the NYSWYSA.
Youth Rec: Registration will be held on November 18 from 9:00-1:00. There will be an ad placed in the Tidbits. Registration will continue through December 8. No late sign-ups will be accepted.
Level E coaching course: Keith Eggleston reported the level E coaching course will be held at Cornell December 15-17. There will be a $75.00 registration fee and a $30.00 western conference league fee. Question was raised about the DSC reimbursing ½ of the registration fee. The deadline for registration is November 27. The minimum number of 15 people interested to insure the course will take place.
Dryden Soccer Tournament: The date has been tentatively set for March 31 through April 1. A tentative price will be $115.00 a team with free use of the pool. Permission to host needs to be sent in 3 months in advance after confirmation of gym time is approved.
Registrar’s nightmare: Peggy will be preparing an informational sheet for coaches to explain how the registration process works. It will also be available on a web site.
DSC meeting/attendance: Concerns about the lack of coaches attending the monthly meetings. Questions were raised about making the December’s meeting mandatory for all coaches interested in rostering a spring travel team. It was decided to make this a requirement; Bill Turner will send out Email to all coaches, and it will be posted on the Web site. Registration forms will be available at that time.
BCSA Meeting report: Gary Acker will be attending the Annual Meeting in Rochester. Next meeting will be December 8.
CPR/First Aid Course: American Red Cross- Sports Safety Training Course- seven hour course time with a minimum of 6 people registered. The cost is $48.00 per person. Will review again in the spring about availability and interest. Janet Bennett may be willing to teach an informal first aid course.
Standardizing uniforms: Discussion concerning standardizing the Dryden uniforms and logos. Will look into the cost and availability.
Provider Registration Services for Non-Dryden teams: DSC teams vs. Associate teams- DSC will need to adopt into the bylaws the differences between them and what services will be available to each.
Next monthly meeting is December 11, 2000. Spring Travel Team rosters are due at that meeting.
