Coordinators Reports

Coaching - Tim Wiese talked to Janine Bennett about our discussion on requiring our coaches to have minimum certification through NYSWYSA. Janine is certified (as is Chris Malone) to give certification course through another coaches organization. This could be something to look into. We don't know whether that organization is compatible with NYSWYSA.

Equipment - Jeri-Ann is missing two first aid kits. One is TC United's and one is missing (rec league?). For now she does not need them as there are less travel teams than last year

Rec Leagues - Due to Anne Landon's vacation in January, the Intermediate and Senior rec leagues can not start until Jan 11. Anne will contact Teri Keegan to make sure gym times are reserved (Tim W. asked her to get times reserved for the Junior rec league as well).

Doug says the possibility of Adam Sutton and Bob Maury as Junior rec league coordinators is still hopeful, and he will continue to pursue this.

Travel Teams - The TCFSL has a policy of charging players/parents $25.00 for red cards. This must be paid by the parents before the player can return. The policy also includes a one game suspension. This applies to U12 and U14 only.

John Cook is apparently not going to return as The Field's soccer coordinator, due to health problems. Tim Wiese will try to contact Russ at The Field about practice times. There was brief discussion about the club reserving a block of times. Dan Clement said that practice costs are $70 hour this year.

Jeri-Ann said that both the TCFSL and the BCSA are insisting on no duplicate jersey numbers on a roster. This is for yellow and red card tracking. Also, no three digit numbers can be used. This is a problem with our jersey standardizing process.

The club voted to continue with the Score standard jersey for the next two years (promised by Score). This gives us time to make a decision on either changing jersey styles, or finding another company.

Tim Wiese passed out the code of conduct forms, DSC winter team registration forms and the coaches manual. He asked everyone to email him with comments between now and the next meeting, so that at the next meeting we can hand them out to coaches.

Doug Hoyt suggested Evan Kurtz as the next tournament director.
