Minutes of January 12, 2004 Meeting

Minutes were read and approved from January 12, 2004 meeting.

Coordinators Reports

Registrar: New software is here for registration.

Facilities: No report.

Coaches/Referees:

- Coaching Clinics at The Field have been rescheduled until March. They will be one hour clinics. More details will be forwarded to us soon.
- “D” level license course is being organized.
- Refs at The Field seem to be good this year. Some are learning and situation seems to be better than last year.
- Discussed the Code of Conduct at The Field in regards to the “Trash Talk” while playing soccer.

Recreational Leagues:  Everything is running smooth and players as well as coaches seem to be happy.

Adult League:  Alumni players are coming back to play. Still playing on Fridays and Sundays.

Travel Teams:  No report.

Treasury Report:  Report handed out to everyone.

Equipment:  Ready for spring.

Uniforms:  No report.

Website: Looks great.

Publicity:
- Cathy Wakeman wrote a little bit about the Soccer Club in the Ithaca Journal on February 2, 2004.
- Jackets came in! $46.00 in profits raised. - $94.00 in profit from the bumper sticker fundraising.
- Fund raising competition is over. Dryden Dragons first, place, Dryden Express second, Dryden Demons/Dementors third, Dryden Rockets fourth. Pizza party awarded to winning team. Profits to be reimbursed to the teams. - Tournament advertised in Dryden Central School Bulletin, Syracuse Post Standard, TCSA Website (Cheatham), Fox 40 Sports Section, Cortland Standard, Ithaca Journal, Dryden Courier.
- Proposed to sell bumper stickers at tournament.
- Getting different amounts for shirts for the soccer tournament with “Soccer Rocks” printed on it.
- Proposed t-shirt sales from tournament be divided up to all winter teams, not just the spring teams entered into the Broome County Spring League.

Old Business:  None discussed.

New Business:
- Received and read instruction letter in the TCSA League: The goal of the TCSA is to link all travel teams from the area together. Provide training for all teams and coaches, to have informal camps for instruction, provide equal access to The Field. Promote Premier teams. Voted on joining the league. All were in favor of joining.
- Desperately need coordinators for the Club.
- Email all coaches from Club so that they will email their team players about the tournament. Spread the word. Tournament is one day only March 27th. Tournament duties have been split up to various people. Flyers sent out by snail mail via Peggy Westerling.

Meeting adjourned 8:37pm.
